Six tools, music controls and a file shelf — hidden in the notch until you need them. No Dock icon. No floating windows. Nothing sent anywhere.
Live preview — pick a tool, or hover the window to pause the tour.
Move the pointer to the notch and it blooms into a black shelf. Move away and it melts back into the hardware.
A live preview drops below the notch. Check your framing before a call, flip the mirror, choose a rounded or circular shape, and snap a photo straight to your Downloads and clipboard.
Your recent copies, ready to paste again with a click. Entries that password managers mark as private are ignored automatically.
One click opens the macOS Screenshot tool.
Pin favourites to a grid. One click to launch.
Quick to-dos that persist across launches.
Play something in Apple Music or Spotify and the pill grows album art on one side and an animated equalizer on the other.
Drag files toward the notch to stash them on a quick shelf, then drag them back out whenever you need them.
Start a timer and a gradient border drains around the notch as the time runs out.
Ultimate Notch ships without the network entitlement, so it cannot phone home even in principle. No account, no analytics, no tracking, no ads.
Written in Swift and SwiftUI for Apple Silicon. It sits quietly in your menu bar and stays out of the way until you reach for it.
On a Mac without a notch the same toolbox appears as a small pill at the top-centre of your screen. Everything works the same way.

There is no Dock icon and no window by design. Look for the small laptop icon in your menu bar, then hover the notch itself — the black shelf expands sideways to reveal the tools.
Yes. On a Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac or any external display, the same toolbox appears as a small pill at the top-centre of the screen and behaves identically.
No. Ultimate Notch ships without the network entitlement, so it cannot make a network request even in principle. Everything stays on your Mac.
Apple Music and Spotify — the players macOS lets apps talk to directly. Audio from a browser tab cannot be read by any app without private APIs.
Camera (only for the camera tool), Automation for Apple Music / Spotify (only for Now Playing), and Notifications (only to tell you a timer finished). Denying one disables just that feature.
