Telling us your macOS version and Mac model helps a lot.
That's expected — Ultimate Notch has no Dock icon and no window. Look for the small laptop icon in your menu bar near the clock; clicking it gives you Settings and Quit. The tools live in the notch: move your pointer over it and the shelf expands sideways.
Yes. On a Mac mini, Mac Studio, iMac, or any external display, the app draws a small black pill at the top-centre of the screen, exactly where a notch would be. Hover it and everything works the same way. It's easiest to spot against a light wallpaper.
Most tools need a macOS permission the first time. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security and check that Ultimate Notch has Camera access (camera tool) or Automation access for Apple Music / Spotify (Now Playing), then reopen the tool.
Now Playing works with Apple Music and Spotify, the players macOS lets apps talk to directly. Audio from a browser tab or another player can't be read. Make sure the player is already running and a track is playing, and that you granted Automation access when prompted.
Photos taken with the camera tool are saved to your Downloads folder and copied to the clipboard. The screenshot tool opens the built-in macOS Screenshot app, which decides where its captures are saved.
Click the Ultimate Notch icon in the menu bar and choose Settings…. From there you can show or hide individual tools and adjust the camera, clipboard, timer and Now Playing options.
Click the menu-bar icon and choose Quit Ultimate Notch. To remove it, quit the app and drag it from your Applications folder to the Trash.
No. The app makes no network connections at all — it ships without the network entitlement. Everything stays on your Mac.
